Installing Two Toto Drake Toilets in Brooksville, Florida

Hi everybody! Today’s blog post is a quick job recap of a job I recently completed in Brooksville, Florida.

For this job, I installed two Toto Drake elongated 1.6gpf toilets. These are my all-time favorite toilets and once you see the flush on these bad boys, I think you’ll be inclined to agree with me! (Not to mention the added bonus: the toilet flushes so good that there’s hardly ever any stickage left in the bowl!)

I installed the two Toto Drake toilets following the steps below:

1. I turned off the water to the home

2. I removed the existing toilets and set them outside

3. I replaced the existing builder-grade angle stops with high-quality brass quarter turn valves

4. I replaced the supply lines with new braided steel supply lines

5. I assembled the toilets in the garage

6. I replaced the wax ring and closet bolts

7. I installed the toilets one at a time and tested for leaks

8. After testing for leaks and proper function, I grouted around the base of the toilets

9. Finally, I cleaned up the work area and did a final quality assurance check
